Gulf Coast Division General Membership Meeting
April 14, 2002

The meeting was called to order at 1:30 pm by Mauro Hamza. The only order of business was officer elections for the 2002-2003 competitive season.

The following people were in attendance at the meeting:

Jerry Dunaway and Mauro Hamza were nominated for division chair. Proxies were collected and verified by Daniel Gorman (division secretary). Each candidate spoke briefly regarding his plans for the coming year and then left the room. Votes were cast and tallied with Mauro Hamza winning 41 to 20. Twenty-one proxies were not allowed (11 for Hamza, 10 for Dunaway) for either not being on the list of USFA members dated April 9, 2002, or for not having a birth date listed and being unable to be verified as 18 or older.

Following the election for chair, Michael Mergens was nominated unopposed for vice-chair, August Skopik was nominated unopposed for secretary, and Andrey Geva was nominated unopposed for treasurer. The elections concluded, the meeting was closed at 2:00 pm.
