Notes from Divisional EC meeting 5/11/98:

This meeting was held in reference to a request from the Bayou City Fencing Academy for a grant to help support their camp to be held this summer. Discussion involved:

1. Will the camp help promote fencing in the division?
2. Will the camp raise the level of fencing in the division?
3. Is the camp bringing national and international level coaches and fencers to the division?
4. Is the camp open to all members of the division?
5. Does this grant advantage one club in the division over any other?

It was determined that this grant does not unduly favor BCFA, and that the grant is in line with the objectives of the division (The encouragement and development of the art of fencing). It was approved unanimously.
